How to cheat in behavioral interviews

Abstract

  • Answer what they want to hear:
    • failure what you learned
    • conflicts how you work with people
  • If no answer:
    • go for hypothetical to gain some time to think about a time
  • Work on all possible scenarios.
  • Do not talk about the same project over and over again.
    • Prepare diverse range of questions.
    • Do not make it look like you are talking about the same project.
      • Do not mention the name of the project.
      • Zooming in / out.
  • Intentionally omit some of the key details.
    • E.g. some quantified details.
  • Find your interviewer’s profiles and answer your examples with some of their hobbies / interests.
