How to cheat in behavioral interviews
Abstract
- Answer what they want to hear:
- failure ⇒ what you learned
- conflicts ⇒ how you work with people
- If no answer:
- go for hypothetical to gain some time to think about a time
- Work on all possible scenarios.
- Do not talk about the same project over and over again.
- Prepare diverse range of questions.
- Do not make it look like you are talking about the same project.
- Do not mention the name of the project.
- Zooming in / out.
- Intentionally omit some of the key details.
- E.g. some quantified details.
- Find your interviewer’s profiles and answer your examples with some of their hobbies / interests.
